Less effort required for seam preparation: The imprecise air gap dimensions are compensated for by wide ceramic recesses. This means less time is required for preparation and alignment on your part.
Higher deposition rates: Thanks to the weld pool backing, higher deposition rates are also possible using greater welding currents. This means that larger electrode diameters are possible with MMA welding, as is spatter-free welding in the spray arc when MIG/MAG welding.
Cost reduction thanks to minimised preparation and finishing work: The root pass does not need to be processed thanks to the use of the weld pool backing. This also means reduced welding times and less consumption of welding consumables.
High visual seam quality: Due to potentially higher welding currents, you can penetrate deeper into the root pass. This enables you to achieve very high root pass quality.
Forming effect: Thanks to the self-adhesive aluminium foil, a forming effect occurs on the underside of the seam. This eliminates the need for forming gas.
